More than 80 Adversary Proceedings Filed in Little River Healthcare Holdings, LLC, et al

August 6, 2020, Western District of TexasLittle River Healthcare Holdings LLC, the operator of two rural hospitals in Texas and other healthcare-related centers recently initiated more than 80 lawsuits against several creditors seeking to recover preferential transfers of property that occurred during the ninety (90) day period before the commencement of the bankruptcy proceedings of Little River Healthcare Holdings, LLC and its affiliated debtors (collectively, the “Debtors”) according to §§ 547 and 550 of chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”). Trustee, James Studensky also seeks to avoid and recover any transfers that constitute fraudulent transfers under §§ 548 and 550 of the Bankruptcy Code.

The largest case in the group has been filed against Jeffrey P. Madison for a return of $ 12,898,156.96, Ryan Downton for return of $5,797,146, and Peggy Borgfield for recovery of $ 4,080,227.46 respectively. Judge Ronald B. King is presiding over the Debtors bankruptcy cases.
